As a mother I’m always trying to find the cheapest and quickest way to get the things I need for my little one. The Dollar Tree offers so many great options I felt I should make a handy little list of my “go to items”. I buy all of these on the regular and love the fact they are only $1! Plus, something about walking into a small store with a toddler is so much less intimidating than walking into a super center. The melt downs don’t seem as bad, right?
Snacks and juice
We go though snacks and juice quick. If I don’t have time to get grocery pickup I snag some of the great options they have in stock. I like the apple juice because its not a cocktail blend, but 100% juice. And veggie chips with sea salt? Yes please! They also have great brands like
Pepperidge Farm Gold Fish, Cheeze-it, Jif To-Go, and more.
Craft supplies
If you need it, they probably have it: mini canvases, pipe cleaners, paint, brushes, construction paper, googly eyes, craft sticks, pompoms, glue sticks, and brown craft paper! I get almost everything for our projects from the Dollartree!
Toy cars…he always finds one. Always.

How can I say no? They are a dollar! At first, I was shocked by how nice most of them are. Our store has off brands as well as Matchbox.
Glow sticks

We use these for bath time and at amusement parks instead of buying expensive glow in the dark toys there. I took several packs to Disney World so Jack could have a fun glowing toy at night that didn’t cost $20!
Socks

I don’t know about y’all, but little socks disappear much quicker than their adult versions. Being able to grab a pack of three for a buck is nice. Some variations even have the slip resistant bottoms.
Bath time gear

I always buy the PawPatrol bottle of bubble bath and he loves it. They also have detangler spray, lotions, wash cloths and bath paints. I don’t normally buy the bath paint but make my own instead! But it’s great to use as gifts.
Toothbrushes and toothpaste

They have sets and separates. I’m stocked up! They have great characters like Thomas the Train, some have suction cup bases, or even light up. For older children they offer children’s mouthwash and plaque rinse.
Stocking stuffers and Easter basket treats.
The Dollar Tree always hasthe most creative and unique goodies for the holidays! The last two Christmas our local store had the cutest miniature gingerbread houses and gingerbread men fully decorated and wrapped with a bow.
Baskets and bins

I feel like I’m always reorganizing toys or having to find new places to store Jack’s stuff. These baskets and containers make it super simple to store toys, shoes, craft supplies, and more.
Educational books and supplies

I have a dozen or so early learning books on hand. Honestly, I buy more before he even finishes one. They help keep me on track since I have no idea how to create a lesson plan… I love that some even have characters from his favorite shows like Mickey and Sesame Street. Most stores have class room decorations as well!
All stores vary on what they keep in stock, so check out your local store to see what deals you can grab. And if you order online keep in mind you have to buy in bulk! Have a lovely Wednesday.
