A Monday tradition over on my Instagram stories is to share a brand giving back to those in need. I don’t share brands that donate every now and then, I share brands that have a much higher goal than just giving on occasion, they want to make a real positive impact on the world around them! The reason they do what they do is for others, not profit.
With the holiday season here, I knew my first gift guide would be a round-up of a few of these amazing brands. I wanted to give you the chance to spend your money on a beautiful present AND make a difference.
With each list of gift suggestions, I will tell you a bit about the company and what they do! As a disclaimer, I have no affiliate links in this post. I’m sharing simply to share.
UNCVRD was founded by Jen Bedrossian with a mission is to help abolish human trafficking and empower at-risk girls and women. To accomplish this goal, a portion of each sale goes to the brand’s non-profit partners: Gems Uncovered and Brave Global.
The dainty pieces at UNCVRD are perfect for the babe on your list that loves a little sparkle without being overstated. I got the Positano Bracelet for our anniversary. It’s perfect for layering with your other pieces!
Musee, based in Mississippi, offers natural, handmade bath products. Their mission is to restore the lives of people (mainly women) who are in recovery, have a disability, or have lived in poverty by providing them with a wonderful job. They’ve been able to do this by partnering with Crossroads.
Their ethically made bath products are the ideal gift for the person on your list that loves to be pampered! Need stocking stuffers? The Christmas themed bath bombs would be perfect! They even have fun options for the kiddos.
At Madison Grace, their number one goal is to help end human trafficking. They are doing their part by offering respectful job opportunities to members of marginalized communities that are at risk. Every quarter they also donate to their “giving partner”, Feeding America. Each purchase helps give a child 7 meals!
All the beautiful accessories offered on their website are “ethically made and sustainably designed”. This boutique offers many stunning options for the person on your list that wants to do their part to save the earth and others while looking chic!
Prosperity Candle is one of the brands I was most excited to share. (If I’m being honest, I get excited about them all. But this one really touched my heart.) Prosperity Candle offers refugee women (specifically from war zones) a better, brighter future for themselves and their families. The women are the artisans that hand make the candles and reusable vessels. You can even send a personal note thanking them for their hard work!
At Prosperity Candle there is something for everyone on your list! I recently got the chance to try one of the Greek Love candles as a gift from the brand. Each represents a different word for “love” in the Greek language: Storge (family), Philia (friendship), Agape (kindness), and Eros (romantic). I chose the Agape candle and LOVE the citrus/oud wood blend! Check out my post on Instagram for more details.
Trades of Hope was founded by a woman named Gretchen who had a desire to see families stay together. After running an orphanage she founded for 10 years she realized that many of the mothers wanted to keep their babies and children, but they lacked the funds to provide for them. With the help of her friends and daughter, she started a business that provided women with an opportunity to make a dignified living. Check here to learn more about the difference you make with your purchase from Trades of Hope.
Whether you’re shopping for handcrafted gifts or holiday decorations, Trades of Hope has something for you! I love the Woodland Friends stuffed animals for the little ones and the Pink Awareness Earrings are a gorgeous feminine addition to any outfit.
I hope you are excited to shop for the holidays now! Did you see something you love or know a friend would adore? Let me know in a comment.
Oh yeah, if you’d like to find more brands giving back, check out the highlight section on my Instagram! There are two highlights full of brands like these you can learn about. I’ll see you on Monday over on my stories to discover more with you!
