Saying goodbye to summer is always bitter sweet! I miss the warmth of beach trips and pool side fun, but I’m always excited for cozy fireside talks and holiday cheer. It doesn’t take much to get me in a colder weather mood. The weather on the other hand takes it’s sweet time transitioning, and this can make dressing accordingly quite difficult!
Here are a few pieces your wardrobe needs for transitional weather!
Denim jacket
Denim jackets (or even a long sleeve chambray button down) are great way to transition an outfit on days when the mornings and evenings are cool but the afternoons are hot! It would go great with shorts, black denim, sundresses, and rompers.
Light weight sweater
A light weight sweater looks cute tucked into shorts or with a denim skirt! When the weather decides to stay cooler it will go great with jeans, leggings, or a skirt and thigh high boots!
T-shirt dress
A t-shirt dress is great during the day when it’s hot and still looks adorable at night with a button down, jacket, or cardigan!
Open front cardigan
Speaking of cardigans! They look super cute over short sleeves or tank tops when you need a little extra coverage but want to remove the sleeves when the weather warms up during the day!
Ankle bootie
Ankle booties look just as adorable with shorts as they do with a skirt or skinny jeans. A great piece for late summer when it’s too hot for regular boots but so close to fall that you want a cozier look.
